MIC: An Agent Formal Environment

چکیده
Ubiquitous systems can be considered as good challenges and case studies for the reliable development of open, cooperative and mobile systems in a globally uncontrolled environment. Furthermore, the complexity of these systems could constitute a real barrier to classical engineering approaches and validate the foundations of agent based computing. In this paper, we have abstracted a composable multi-agent system environment in an algebraic structure where mobile, interacting and autonomous entities evolve. We present also, a simple ubiquitous application developed according to the abstract model principles. keywords: agent formal deployment environment, agentbased software system, ubiquitous software system.

Requirements for Achieving Software Agents Autonomy and Defining their Responsibility
This paper addresses the problem of implementing agent-based software systems with respect to agent framework fundamental concepts such as autonomy and interaction without specifying any particular agent internal architecture. The autonomy and interaction axioms imply that a deployment environment has to be defined in order to achieve interaction among agents. This deployment environment may al...

متن کاملA Formal Petri Net Based Model for Antivirus Update Agent System
In this paper, a formal model for antivirus update agent system is presented based on mobile agent technology and predicate/transition Petri nets. The mobile agent system contains two mobile agents called DCA and UNA. It sends out agents to update antivirus on client computers in a network. Each agent takes on a specified responsibility. First, DCA roams through the network and check the last d...

The effective implementation of Massively Open Online Courses poses fascinating challenges. We address two such challenges using an agent based approach, employing formal specifications to articulate an agent design which can later be used for software development. The challenges addressed are: 1) How can a learner be provided with a personalised learning experience? 2) How can a learner make b...
